About Me

Annemé Bothma

I am Anneme Beukes, the adventurous, creative and passionate photographer at Milk Photography. I have the privilege of pursuing photography full time, which allows me to be creative and work with people. I started experimenting with photography in 2005 when I lived in Polokwane. I worked full time at our family business and started with photography over weekends. I freelanced for a company who specialized in school sport photos, giving me a wide variety of experience and many hours spent in the sun. At this company I also gained my first wedding photography experience and knew that I wanted to do more. I decided to get serious about photography and started my studies in 2009 at the National School of Photography. I studied for 2 years and Milk Photography was officially founded in 2011.

I am in the privileged position to now work from home in the Pretoria East area where I spend my day doing business admin and working on new ideas with our beautiful dog Leia. All the post production and print processes are done in the Pretoria area and on weekends I visit the exciting destinations that my clients take me to.

I photograph weddings, couples, families, corporate and events. I enjoy shooting outdoors, in the comfort of your home or offices, on location or in a studio environment. Each aspect of photography provides something different and each client provides a new and exciting experience and I strive to provide a fun and exciting experience to each client.

Since 2011 my dream for Milk photography was to be able to give the best possible products to my clients and to grow each year. I have achieved this by getting an expert editor to do the finishing touches on the photos and have attended several workshops to constantly improve my technique and to gain new ideas and Milk photography has grown above expectation each year.

Starting and running Milk photography has been an amazing journey with many ups and downs. I have learnt a lot in the past 5 years and have gained a lot of experience. But one thing remained the same: I love working with people and capturing their smiles, special and joyous moments and I can’t wait to capture yours.
